Airport

I went to the airport this morning to pick up my boss and realized I had forgotten how much I enjoyed being at an airport. Traditionally, my relationship with airports had been rather love/hate: when they are bringing someone I love like a family member or friend, I love them; but when they are taking someone close, that love quickly vanishes and leaves the opposite in it’s place (funny how that is sometimes true of our relationship with God).
It’s isn’t so much about the love and hate anymore…I love to go and watch the people. Smiles, tears, longing looks, laughter, people reading, yelling, scolding, kissing, indifference…there is a plethora of emotions and feelings that happen every hour at an airport. And the types of people are amazing! Black, red, white, yellow, infant, ancient, normal, weird, stereotypical, fashionable, desperately unfashionable: but the coolest thing of all is remembering who made each and everyone of them, not to mention his love for them.
